Start-up report 2026
During 2026 Sonqo Wasi worked on the foundations for its activities with children and young people. We defined a format for two-hour pop-up sessions combining painting and dance, designed to take place in streets, squares, schools or other local spaces. We also outlined a three-day series with the same group of children in a partner school, as well as a full-day community celebration with music, games and a shared meal. Alongside this work, the organisation set up its UK structure and rebuilt its website in English and Italian so that supporters and local partners could find clear information about our work and legal status. We began preparing Holi for Children in India, a larger celebration planned for spring 2027. Its location and dates are still being confirmed. Our intention remains the same across these formats: activities for children and their families are free of charge.
Documents
The governing document, the list of trustees and the first annual report will be published here as soon as the charity registration is complete.
Funds
Donations pay for workshop materials, travel to the communities and the costs of our local partners. No salaries are paid to founders or trustees. All activities for children are free.
