How we work

How we work

Simple rules that keep our activities free, safe, local and respectful.

  1. 01

    Free, always

All direct activities for children are 100% free. Funds come from donations and from separate initiatives for adult supporters.

  2. 02

    Safeguarding

The founders currently deliver the activities themselves. Future facilitators and volunteers go through a recruitment process with an assessment of their experience, reference checks and mandatory criminal-record checks — DBS in the UK or the local equivalent — in line with our Safeguarding Policy.

  3. 03

    Local partnerships

We work with schools, community leaders and local NGOs. Beneficiaries are referred by them or reached through open-access activities in public spaces.

  4. 04

    Secular and neutral

Our activities are experiential and arts-based. They promote no political, religious or ideological viewpoint.

  5. 05

    Reviewing what we do

Trustees hold regular planning meetings. Each workshop is assessed against our charitable purposes, through direct observation and informal feedback from children and community partners.
